FAQ

Does it matter what time of day I take Proselem?
It is best to take Proselem in the morning.  Though it contains no stimulants or caffeine, increased cellular function can cause an increase in energy that could keep you up at night. Naturally increase your daytime energy level instead!
For how long should I take Proselem?
It is best to take Proselem continuously. After taking Proselem for about three weeks, you will notice the benefits of improved cell function*. In order to retain those benefits, you need to continue providing the Proselem micronutrients to your cells*. Proselem promotes skin elasticity and cellular youth, and is perfectly safe to take long term and works best when taken continuously*.
What is the correct Proselem dosage for me?
That depends on your weight, as follows:

  • Between 110 lbs and 165 lbs (50-75 kg): 2 capsules daily
  • Between 165 lbs and 220 lbs (75-100 kg): 3 capsules daily
  • Between 220 lbs and 330 lbs (100-150 kg): 4 capsules daily

If you are recovering from an illness, or fighting an illness, you many need a higher dosage of Proselem while your body is healing. How safe is Proselem? Does it have any side effects?
The safety of Proselem is documented and on file with the FDA. Proselem is manufactured in compliance with strict European Union safety standards and US GMP requirements and undergoes regular testing and quality control. Proselem is safe for all adults but some people may experience mild side effects, as follows:  persons who suffer from allergies to algae or sulfur may experience a mild reaction, and persons who suffer from heavy metal poisoning may experience unpleasant detox reactions when taking any selenium, including Proselem.  Persons who may be allergic to algae or sulfur should not consume this product. Persons who may suffer from heavy metal poisoning should not consume products containing selenium without medical supervision. As with any dietary supplement, consult your physician before taking this product if you are under medical treatment or taking medications or other dietary supplements.
I am already taking selenium. Do I still need Proselem?
Other selenium supplements available on the market do not contain natural, whole-food selenium and may be detrimental to your health. You should stop taking them and take Proselem instead.
I am already taking a multivitamin/mineral supplement. Do I still need Proselem?
No multivitamin/mineral supplement available on the market today is as effective as Proselem at empowering your cells to maintain normal oxidative balance*. In addition, the spirulina in Proselem naturally contains the phytonutrients, vitamins and minerals your body needs, in the correct dosage for optimal cell function*. If you suspect that your diet is deficient in certain nutrients (for example calcium, vitamin D), you should consider taking a supplement containing just those nutrients in addition to Proselem.
Should I continue taking my regular multivitamin or other vitamin supplements?
Unless you have been diagnosed with a specific deficiency or need, no. Most vitamin and multivitamin supplements contain very high doses of vitamins. Recent research suggests that taking excessive dosages of vitamins may have a negative effect on your health. Cellular youth is more likely to result from whole food supplements where vitamins and minerals are optimally dosed and naturally present.
Should I take any other supplements in addition to Proselem?
Yes, unless your diet is very rich in Omega 3, we recommend that you take an Omega 3 supplement. Your body cannot manufacture essential fatty acids. Most people have an insufficient intake of Omega 3. Omega 3’s are essential to proper cell function and health.
Is it okay to take a lot of antioxidant supplements?
No. You should not take too many antioxidant supplements. Taking excessive antioxidants can actually disrupt cell balance. Proselem’s antioxidant dosage is very moderate, yet powerful*. Its bioavailability and efficiency are proven*. Proselem provides all the antioxidant protection you need*.
Can I fight oxidative stress just by taking more vitamin C and E?
Doing so would not be the most effective way to protect your body against excessive oxidation. Proselem contains the precise proportion of key nutrients you need for optimal antioxidant protection*. Taking vitamin C and E does not provide all the nutrients your cell needs for antioxidant defense.
Is Proselem safe for pregnant women and/or children?
Proselem is not intended for children, pregnant women, or lactating women.
If I take Proselem, is it okay to eat lots of junk food and few fruits and vegetables?
No! No dietary supplement can completely compensate for very poor nutrition. Whole food Proselem helps you improve your nutrition but is not a substitute for the fruits and vegetables you should eat daily. You should make every effort to eat lots of fresh, unprocessed fruits and vegetables and avoid processed ingredients such as hydrogenated oils. Proselem loves you and wants you to be healthy.
Is Proselem GMO-free?
Of course! Absolutely no genetic engineering is involved in the manufacturing of Proselem. Made in France Proselem truly is natural and recognized by your cells as food.
